About Us

Under the guidance of Jesus, His Word, and Pastor Dan Satterwhite, the Bible is both preached and taught at the Pendleton Lighthouse Church so that we may understand and receive salvation, and learn to live for God as we walk with Him each day toward the goal of eternal life with Him.
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us... Hebrews 12: 1

Our Beliefs
The Word
We are founded upon the belief that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 1: 1
Who is God?
We believe in obedience unto the Word of God, following Acts 2: 28. “And Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
We also believe that living a life of holiness as instructed by scripture is essential for growing in our walk with God, with the goal of attaining heaven when our journey on this earth is finished. 1 Peter 1: 16 tells us, “Be ye holy, for I am holy.”
We believe there is only one God. "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:" Deuteronomy 6: 4
He is the creator of heaven and earth, and of all living beings. He has revealed Himself to humanity as:
•The Father - "One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all." Ephesians 4: 6
•The Son - "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” 1 Timothy 3: 16
•The Holy Ghost - "And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.” Acts 1: 4-5
